"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid . . .
for the Lord your God goes with you." DEUTERONOMY 31:6, NIV
Who can help you be brave? GOD CAN HELP ME BE BRAVE.
GOD LOVES ME.
When you go into your child's room this month, say, "Good morning! If you're ready to be strong and courageous, let me see your super kid pose. (Strike a superhero pose.) And who is always with us, helping us be strong and courageous? God is always with us!"
As you drive, encourage your child to name the places he/she sees by saying, "God is with me at the gas station. God is with me at the grocery store. God is with me at the park."
Cuddle with your child this month and pray, "Dear God, please help us remember that You are always with us so we can be strong, courageous, and brave, no matter what comes our way. We love You, God! In Jesus' name, amen."
Tell your child to choose a special toy to hold throughout bath time. Tell them that they cannot let go of it. It has to stay with them until bath time is over. As you help dry your child off, tell them good job for always keeping the object with them. Then tell them that there is someone who is ALWAYS with them too. God! God is always with us!
